Gimmicky. The site is set up too much like a game and not a serious relationship building service. No search by user name option. Profile requirements are too minimal. Much of the time there is not enough profile information about a person to get to know them at all.

Worst Site
Asiandate not only controls and limits your emails, they also have many planted accounts there to attract you but to never respond to your emails. I’ve used DateHookUp and Plenty of Fish with no problem connecting with women and communicating with them.

Poor customer service
The web page is hard to understand and what you can do with what you paid for. I wanted to be able to chat but didn’t pay extra for call chat or email chat. When I invited someone to chat they weren’t on the chat window I had on my screen. I was looking for someone from my area and thought I stated that and yet I kept getting interested inquires from very far away. Never got to connect with one person I wanted to. One that I did chat with immediately asked inappropriate questions that you would never ask of someone you didn’t know. This turned me off and I no longer was interested in finding a someone for me. Get this I got over 200 views and only chated with 3.

Don't go near this site
Don’t go near this site. They reeled me in, then deducted 2 months of my already paid for subscription when I refused to renew my subscription. Now,, they have locked me out of my account, asserting my password is not good when it has been the one i’ve been using since the start. No where is there posted a phone number to contact them. They do not accept clearly written complaining emails without going through one of their “questions” being identified. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE

I've been trying to cancel my account
I’ve been trying to cancel my account and it won’t take my password, trying to reset it and it tells me it’s incorrect. The call center is supposedly temporaily closed down. I have a new debit card and credit card number so I’m sure. They won’t be will be able to charge my account.

Lost count of how many bogus emails I received about “a friend, colleague, brother, whatever, of a member seeing my profile and wanted to connect. Blah, blah, blah… please send your contact info…!” and then all the emails from this site about profiles being reviewed and to please not contact any further… Not trustworthy by any means. No chance of getting a refund as there is No One to contact. Buyer Beware!

Impossibility of cancellation
Claims to use algorithms to find your perfect match. If it does these must be remarkably unsophisticated, as it kept suggesting people hundreds of kilometres from me, sometimes of the wrong gender. I wish I had read a review of the site before committing to upgrading to using its paid facility. It is expensive, and I think offers poor value. The real kick in the teeth however is the impossibility of cancellation: this site will continue to debit your card when you cancel; in my opinion this is tantamount to fraud.

They didn't get back
I joined this site and initially had no issues. If you like a girl and they like you it’s a Match and the girl has to make the first move. Sounds sensible! The problem is you run out of people rather quickly so of course you delete your payment details so they won’t renew….. until they renew and take another payment. I’ve repeatedly written to their “customer service” only to be told by an automated message that their bees are very busy and will get back to me. They didn’t get back to me, closed my query and still haven’t replied to the subsequent query. I’m waiting a month now for a reply.

Profiles that did not fall within the parameters I had set were constantly sent. That is, they sent older and younger profiles of my age group; profiles that have lived longer than the distance parameter; profiles that were not at all consistent with the physical properties that interested me. A complete waste of time and money.
